How it works
The builder runs entirely in your browser. As you edit the grain bill it predicts original gravity from your fermentables and efficiency, estimates final gravity and ABV from your yeast's attenuation, computes bitterness from the hop schedule (Tinseth), and works out colour in SRM - the same vetted formulas behind our individual calculators. Nothing is uploaded; your current recipe and your saved recipes live in this browser's local storage.
Your recipes are never locked in
Homebrewers have been burned by recipe apps shutting down. So this builder reads and writes
BeerXML - the open format Beersmith, Brewfather and Brewer's Friend all support. Export
any recipe to a .xml file you keep, or import one you exported from another tool. It is your
data; take it with you.
Predictions are estimates that match the mainstream calculators - useful for designing, not a substitute for measuring your own gravities and efficiency. Because everything is stored locally, clearing your browser data will remove saved recipes; export anything you want to keep.
